Sept. 4 Day Trip To Edmonton

We drove to Becci & Spencer's and Rachel and Family came over Friday night for dinner. The kids all got to play together. Grama was the "big bad wolf" and Nathan was my "baby wolf". The kids ran for hours while we chased them.

Jennifer, Becci and Spencer took the kids to see the Backyardigans Concert. I visited with Rachel for 1 1/2 Days and enjoyed going to the park with them and Rachel and I had time to hang out together. We had a delicous birthday dinner at Rachels on Saturday night.

We all met up at Both Rachel & Becci's stake conferences. The kids loved playing together.

I spent 1 1/2 days with Becci also and we took the kids to a park by her place. She made me a birthday dinner that was "sooooo gooooooood". Especially the Chocolate Birthday Cake.
Jennifer & I got to do our Christmas shopping at Toys R Us. It was a quick fun trip.

Adventures for the kids

Rachel, Jen, Becci and I took all 6 grand children out on several adventures. After our Monday night Blizzards at the park, we took them all to the waterslides and pool in LaDuke. They had a blast and we were so busy watching them. Of course we enjoyed fabulous meals at both Rachel and Becci's. Our next adventure was to a recreation centre in south Edmonton. Jen, Becci and I went with Faith, Nathan and Abbie. The kids had a blast, especially burying Grama in the balls. We ate a nice lunch there, then went back to Becci's for an evening of "vegging". Great Fun.......

After 4 months of working out everyday and eating right, Jen, Rachel and I took the kids for our well-deserved blizzards and enjoyed them at the Lake. It was a lovely evening and the Canada Geese kept flying overhead.

Nathan didn't get to actually scrapbook with us, but he scrapped in his food. He was the comic of the evening. We ended our scrapbook Day with a delicious meal of Ribs, Twice Baked Potato, Orange Manderine Salad and for desert: Creme Brulier, whip creme and strawberries with a chocolate truffle of the side. Jen and I must of got at least 6 double page spreads completed and Faith finished her paper album and worked on her disney album.

Renos on Our New Master Bedroom

We began demolishing the downstairs bedroom, ready for rebuilding to our specifications. We are actually getting exciting, as the two rooms are now turning into one. Jim is ripping up the 1970 shag carpet. It was gross.

Trip to Beaumont & Wetaskiwin Feb 15-19, 2009

Jennifer, Nathan, Faith, Jim and I took a quick trip to visit Becci, Spencer and Abbie for 1 1/2 days then Rachel, Leo and Family for the next 1 1/2 days. We went out and shopped at Toys R Us for Nathan's B-day gift and children's place, where I bought all the Grand Children matching Easter outfits. We had 2 birthday dinners for Jim and Nathan. Lots of good food and fun visiting together.

This year we installed the new dishwasher, built in a microwave cabinate and recipe book shelf. In the fall we will finish the last stage of our kitchen project.

Cooking for Christmas Eve

This year was a fun day cooking for Christmas Eve. We had Chef Danny helping us out and he made his special awesome wings, blondie brownies and generally was great to have helping us. He worked all day with me, right up until everyone arrived for our Christmas Eve Party. Everyone said the feast was fantastic.
